This week I started my first photo project. A photo a day for a year. I want to pick up my camera every day and share the way I am seeing things. I want to think about who I am going to photograph, visualise more, continue my love affair with light. I want to push myself. I want much than “smile”. I want to connect. I want step out of comfort zone. I want to ask a stranger if I can photograph them. This is my first week. I am in Australia.
The above image is of my cousin. She is a gorgeous girl, I wanted to capture her natural beauty.
The first image above was taken when walking to the beach. My other cousin lives in these amazing sand dune and this is the path to the beach. I love the composition and story to this photo. The second image is of my husband and son. I waited patiently to capture this frame, the reflections in this beach were inspiring.
On day 4 I had a get together with friends and I asked the group who would be my subject for my project and this young man said he would. He is 11 and I loved chatting with him. We were discussing his sisters and I love this natural, expressive smile. Beautiful.
This photo wasn’t an official day photo but I just had to include it. I managed to capture this photo of my sister and her boyfriend. I love how happy they are.
Another unofficial one. My darling Sadie. I love this for too many reasons.
One of my best friends in this world. This girl is the real deal, funny, happy, inspiring and beautiful.
The guy above is her husband he is great and I love how in love they are.
A gorgeous family. Man I love families.
Another very special person. Her mummy is more like a sister than a friend, so much time has passed since I moved to England. We’ve both got married and had kids and I LOVE that I still feel like I know her inside out. She has become a wonderful mother and wife. Love, Love, Love!!! The last one was taken just after midnight and is also of said friend and her husband, yes I was a bit tipsy, I love this photo because they are in it, the memories and the random plane.
